SBD Online FAQ

All of the products in the SBD Online Store already reflect an applied discount.

Some payment methods may display the pre-discount total along with and applied discount equaling the displayed product price in the SBD Online Store.

Taxes applied at check-out are estimated tax values. Once each order is finalized, the tax total will be reflected and adjusted to the correct tax charge.

Each SBD Employee & Retiree aggregate purchases shall not exceed $7,000 per person in 2026.  This aggregate total includes sales made via SBD Online, Product Service Centers and any other method of employee purchasing including in-person sales.

SBD Online offers PayPal as a form of payment.  In addition to the order confirmation and order history you receive from SBD Online, PayPal will also send you an order confirmation and provide order history in your PayPal account.  Please note that you may notice small variances in the itemized view of your order in PayPal, specific to product/cost/discount line items, however, the order totals and the amount you are charged will always be the same between SBD Online and PayPal.

 

Orders typically ship within 5 to 7 business days in the US. If your item(s) are backordered you will be contacted with an estimated ship date.

You will be notified of your shipment to the email address used at check-out. It will include the ship date and tracking information.

****We are unable to ship expedited or rush deliveries.

If you see an item marked as 'out of stock', it cannot be purchased at this time. Please check back as our inventory levels change daily.

Most orders will be shipped with UPS ground. If the weight of an individual item exceeds UPS weight and dimension guidelines, your order will ship with a LTL carrier. For these shipments you will be contacted by the carrier to schedule a delivery.

We are unable to ship to PO boxes or FPO addresses, but we can ship to any physical street address within the US. As you check-out, please verify the shipping information is correct, as we are unable to make changes to an address after payment confirmation.

Shipping is always FREE!

Your purchase is eligible to be returned up to 30 days after purchase.

If you'd like to return an item, please contact us at onlineemployeestore@sbdinc.com for a return authorization and instructions on returning your item(s).

If an item is defective, and within 60 days from the purchase date, we will issue you a prepaid UPS label to return the defective unit and a replacement item will be sent to you. If the item is not in stock or unavailable your purchase will be refunded.

If the item is non defective (and within 30 days of purchase), you are responsible for the return shipping charges.

Any defective item after 60 days of purchase will be handled through the Service Center in your area (your purchase confirmation is required for this).

Your payment method will be charged once your item has placed.

For items that require a minimum order quantity, the MOQ is noted on those product pages. You may only purchase up to 6 (six) of the same items during your order.

SBD Insider Access FAQ

Everything you need to know about inviting guests to SBD Insider Access and how the referral program works. For complete details, refer to the SBD Insider Access Employee Referral Policy.

SBD Insider Access is the exclusive online store where eligible guests can purchase Stanley Black & Decker products at discounted prices. The store can be found at sbdinsideraccess.stanleyblackanddecker.com.

As an eligible employee, you act as a Brand Ambassador by referring friends, family, and other qualifying individuals to the store.

All active full-time and part-time Stanley Black & Decker employees based in the USA are eligible; excludes L5+ employees, temporary, contract, interns, agency workers, retirees, employees on a sales incentive or sales commission plan, employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement and others excluded at the company’s sole discretion.

Eligible employees can invite unlimited guests year-round by following these steps: 

  1. Navigate to the "My Account" section in the top right -hand corner of the SBD Online Homepage
  2. Click on the "Invite Guests" link. 
  3. Choose the current month event shown in the "Select An Event" box. 
  4. Input your guest's First Name, Last Name and email address in the applicable fields. 
  5. Enter your VALID employee ID numberNote: an incorrect ID number may result in delayed referral payments. 
  6. Read and click the box to acknowledge the terms and conditions
  7. Click "Send Invite" to generate an email invitation for your guest. 
  8. Your guest has 30 days from the invite date to access the SBD Insider Access store. 
  9. "Guests you have invited" appear at the bottom of the page and can be re-invited once their access period ends — enter your Employee ID and click "Resend." 

Each invited guest receives 30 days of access from the date the guest is invited to shop the SBD Insider Access store. Guests can be re-invited unlimited times for additional 30-day periods throughout the year.

  1. To re-invite guests, you select the "previously invite guests" tab on the Invite Guest page 
  2. Select which guests you'd like to re-invite  
  3. Enter your employee id and then invite selected  
  4. Guests that you invited will then show on the bottom of the invite guest page under the sections "Guests you have invited:" 

Yes. Referrals are intended for your personal community— friends, family, colleagues, and others with whom you have an existing relationship. Professional tradesman and handyman are appropriate for referrals. Referred individuals should not be in the business of directly or indirectly selling tools or outdoor power equipment. Employees may not share, post or distribute content, screenshots and product information from the store or this referral program in any offline or online forums or social media.Sharing should be personal and direct, ensuring the programs benefits reach those you know and trust.

In a calendar year, eligible employees can receive a 3% pre-tax, referral payment of any orders placed by their invited guests that are shipped. The maximum total payout is $5,000 per employee, per year. Referral payments are paid monthly and are determined by tool ship date. Please note that payouts are calculated based on the product price and do not include shipping costs and taxes.

The product assortment matches what is available on SBD Online, with special guest pricing.

You can find your employee ID in Workday by logging into Workday, clicking your photo on the top right side, then “View Profile”.  

You can also find your employee ID by visiting mysbd.com and click “MySBD Log In”. Click the person icon on the top right and then click “My Profile”. Your employee ID will be listed on the left side.

Following the last day of the month, all referred purchases will be reviewed, confirmed for eligibility, calculated, and processed for payment.The payments will occur as soon as possible according to the company’s established payroll schedule, which will be approximately 2 months after the product is shipped. For example, purchases shipped to referred individuals during the month of June will have their referral payments paid to eligible employees in check dated August 13, 2026.
